How we measure

A number shows its source, or it doesn’t appear.

Agencies love borrowed statistics. We only publish what we measured on the store we worked on, the same way before and after.

Every result carries four things: the value and unit, what it measures, the tool and sample, and the date it was taken.

Before and after use the same method: the same page, the same phone profile, the same tool.

We don’t show a percentage alone. You see both numbers it came from.

Estimates stay in proposals, labelled as estimates. They never appear here as results.

What counts as a measured number?

A figure we took ourselves with a named tool, device and date, or one from your own analytics with its sample size. Estimates never appear as results.

Which phone do you test on?

Lighthouse’s mid-range Android profile on a throttled 4G connection, median of five runs, before and after, on the same page.

What happens when a number gets worse?

It stays on the page with its new value and date. We don’t round it or take it down.

Do you publish client numbers?

Only with the client’s written permission, and only numbers we measured. A client quote is published word for word, with their approval.

Want to know where your store stands?

We run the checkup on your top pages and send the numbers with their source.
